Professor Jia Kui believes that to achieve highly versatile embodied intelligence, the core is the need for massive amounts of data with the properties of the physical world. Different from language, images and other data that can be obtained from the network in large quantities to form universal capabilities, three-dimensional data, especially the operation data of robots in physical space, needs to be accurately calibrated, and there are problems in the collection process of difficulty, long cycle and high cost. Therefore, Sim2Real simulation based on 3D generative AI is the most efficient way to solve the needs of highly versatile embodied intelligence data.
The threshold for achieving highly versatile embodied intelligence based on Sim2Real AI is extremely high, and it requires at least the ability to have the underlying controllable embodied property physical simulation, efficient large-scale model training and continuous learning, effectively cope with the difference between synthetic and real data domains, and low-cost mass digital assets to achieve the real landing of Sim2Real.
